South Hinksey Parish Council has launched a petition calling for a new weight limit on Hinksey Hill to help reduce the impact of heavy goods vehicles using local roads.
In their statement, the Council commented:
“We know people from Sunningwell use Oxford Road through Bagley Wood and also Hinksey Hill. Cyclists in particular are likely to suffer. An increase in traffic is inevitable, but the lorries and trucks must stay on the A34.”
