The next film night at the Sunningwell Village Hall will be on Saturday 14 December at 7pm, when we will be showing The Kid, the 1921 silent comedy written, produced, directed by and starring Charlie Chaplin. This was Chaplin’s first full-length film as a director. It was a huge success and was the second-highest-grossing film in 1921, and is considered one of the greatest films of the silent era.
Entrance is by voluntary donation and all proceeds will go to St Leonard’s Church, Sunningwell.
