The Village Hall is owned by the Parish Council but is managed independently by the Sunningwell Village Hall Management Committee.
The current calendar of events for hiring the hall can be viewed online at www.sunningwellvillagehall.org and from there you can check availability and make an online booking request.
Village Hall Car Park
Although the council has owned the village hall for about 100 years the car park had no legally registered owner before 2016. Cllr Colin Weyer was instrumental in obtaining legal title for the parish council and in February 2016 ownership of the village hall car park was registered with the Land Registry in the name of Sunningwell Parish Council.
The surface of the village hall car park was in a bad state of repair and Cllr Weyer also managed contracting arrangements which involved both a tendering process and lengthy negotiations with OCC Highways Dept. The resurfacing project was contracted to Chilswell Contractors and cost many tens of thousands of pounds. S106 grant funding was procured by Cllr Paul Wooldridge so that there will be no direct cost to Parish resources. The work was completed in summer 2021.
