New Councillors

The Chairman, Cllr. Colin Weyer, reports that Cllr. Elizabeth Bennet retired last year and Cllr. Oliver Isaacs stood down in May due to pressure of work. Details of two volunteers to fill these positions were circulated shortly after, these being Gina Bale and John Simms. Subsequently a third candidate, Mike Woodward, also put his hat in the ring. Accordingly a vote took place at the June council meeting and the two candidates with the most votes were co-opted to the council. The two new councillors are Gina Bale and John Simms both of whom took their seats and contributed to the rest of the evening’s discussions.
